Exclamation Hot Rod advice from Andrew Seward

So I met Andrew Seward, the bassist for Against Me! & we got involved in a little chat about bass-playing. He recommended that I get something called "HOT ROD" (?) pickups for my P-bass but I have made a fruitless search of the internet!!! I came across something called "hot rodding" & the "hot rodded P-bass"... but not being much of a techie with this stuff, I am basically lost..
I want to be able to tell him I followed his advice if I ever see him again! haha, actually he said they would blow my head open which sounds pretty good...

Wow, I'm late to the game. Sorry! I was probably talking about getting some quarter pounder pickups for your P Bass.

hey wow! my singer is a big A.M. fan who's turned a bunch of us on to your music, and our little medley of "don't lose touch/Stop!" is a highlight of our shows!

welcome to TB!
