How to choose the right ones ?

Sign in to disble this ad
hello there!

Miss you all!
I'm beeing constructing my very own bass and I'm seeking for the good mics.

My dream would be to have two mics with that format here or with the humbucker format (like MusciMan does have.

My play is mainly based on treble and bass.

First question, is it possible to have a switch like some guitars do?
That way I have one mic with boost on mid and bass freq. for my normal play and one other more on bass and treble for when doin' solos. Is that possible ?

And what models of Mics could do have either a bosst bass/treble or a boost bass/mid ?

Hope you'll help me? I'm kinda disturbed with all that stuff!

It appears that English is not your first language, so please bear with us in making sure that we understand the question.

We most commonly refer to the "mics" as "pickups".

Are you looking to have a switch like the Gibson Les Paul guitar? That is just a 3-way switch that selects between pickups, and yes - it can be done for bass. Just search for that wiring diagram.

In fact, it's not my mother tongue, sorry, I didn't reread me before posting ..

Yeah, the idea was to do like the Gibson Les Paul. But is there any 2-way switch ?

Sure. Look for a DPDT switch.

The wiring will be similar, except it will look like this:
