How does 'voicing' sound?

This might seem like an abstract question, but I find the concept of voicing abstract - what does voicing mean when it comes to a pickup? Is there an example of two pickups in same position, playing the same line but with different voicing? This has been bugging me for a while, I understand that a high voiced pickup will have more treble and less bass with a peak high, and the lower voiced one will have the opposite, but are there any samples of this difference, I'd really like to hear it!

I always thought voiced reffered to tone - modern/high voice: more bass and treble, less mids
Vintage voice: not as much bass, treble, and output as modern voiced.
