How to: Wiring EMGs with an Aguilar OBP-3...

Sign in to disble this ad
Guys,
I recently installed an OBP-3 in a customer's import Tobias. Everything sounded and worked fine, but he has decided to upgrade to EMG 45cs and 45dc pickups.

Do any of you have experience with this combo? Are there any issues with wiring the EMGs up to the Aguilar OBP setup? I've been wondering how the built-in preamps in the EMG pickups will meld with the OBP-3.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

No issues. All the red wires go together.

IMO, EMG's and Aguilar preamps were made for each other.

When I called EMG to ask about this same combo, they
said almost the exact same thing. I've been very happy
with this combo in my old Heartfield DR5.
