Hum ?

I have a fairly new Geddy, stock. I just noticed that when I back off the volume knobs the hum increases a bunch. Is this normal?

Yes, single coils hum, especially when the volumes are not equal with each other.
It can be minimized with good shielding and proper grounding

I knew they hum. I didn't know about the increase when they are not equal.
Well thats cool. I have a new thing to tinker with. I will search shielding.
