| Humbucker on a Yamaha?

Greetings all!
I have an oddball question here: Is it feazable, possible or just idiotic to try and put some kind of MM-style humbucker (possibly Basslines?) p/u into my Yamaha TRB 5II? I know it's wider than the current p/u and would require some digging to even fit, but I'm no tech guy, so I know nothing about this kind of project.
