humbuckers for spector

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking of getting a used spector bass similiar to the legend. The pickups are the same design (EMG soapbar design) as most of the spector basses but the only problem is it has active pickups and i like passive. It's very well priced so i'm going to have some money left over to buy new pickups. I really like humbucker pickups and i've checked out duncan, dimarzio and emg. I'm not sure if any of the duncan and dimarzio humbuckers will fit and i don't think emg makes passive humbuckers. Does anybody has a reccomendation on some good humbucking bass pickups under 100$.

The pickups on the Spector NS2000 are passive.

The preamp is active. The pickups are EMG-HZ wich are passive.

well the used one comes with active pickups, they don't say emg so they might be aftermarket.

Seymour Duncan and Bartolini have humbuckers that are the same size as EMGs. I think the SD pickups that say Phase II are the EMG size, and I think Bartolini calls it M4/M5/M6, depending on how many strings.
