Lightbulb Humbuckers, tone for each, and volume

Sign in to disble this ad
plz
Hi people
I'm building electronics for my bass from scratch but I only have a vague idea of how to go about it.
Does anybody have a wiring diagram for a bass with 2 humbuckers, with a tone knob for each one, and a volume control?
It would be greatly appreciated

Tone and volume for each? Use a SG/Paul schematic but go to the center lug on the volume pot. Feed the tone pot off the center lug.

Two tones with only one volume is not possible unless you isolate the pickups with resistors in series with their output, but that would give you a volume drop.

Remember that a tone control operates parallel to the signal path. When you have two volume controls, when they are both turned up, both tone pots act as masters. They only function independently when a series resistance is placed between the pickup/tone pot and the output by rolling a volume pot down.
If you have only one volume, the pickups would be running parallel to each other, so essentially, you would have two pickups and two tones all parallel.

You could put a volume control before the output jack, that would basically be the same as the amp volume control.
