I honestly don't know much about pickups and the such, but I'm looking to upgrade my MIM 5string Fender jazz. Any recommendations? Thanks

I'm not sure what sound I want. Some days I like one sound more than the other. I do a lot of praise and worship stuff, and I like to play jazz and funk.

The aguilar will do fine. Bartolinis pups will give you that extra "cut thru".

I think we're all still asking ourselves that question.

Bartiolonis are good, so are villex.

I play mainly Praise and worship, and rock worship

I suggest an Audere pre amp... reasons? It is a "drop in" piece, and the tone.. oh man... the tone!

Pups.. hmmm I never really liked Barts, but that's just me. You can find lots of great reviews in this thread here.... maybe it will help

"J" pickups discussion and comparisons.

and for the record, I use DiMarzio J's / audere pre in both my MIA fender J's. Mine are 4 string, but strung B-E-A-D.
