Alright, I've reached a point where my blood pressure is going up.

I have a schecter stilleto 6 string, came with EMG 45HZ pick ups. anyways.. the bass is about a year old. few months ago it started messing up, with weird mushy tones and after a bit goes mute.

now ive done EVERYTHING i can do to fix this problem, its not the battery, its not the amp, its not the pedal, i BOUGHT new pickups and installed them. STILL SAME PROBLEM.

i dont know much about the wiring, but ive taken a look at it and its all fine, soled fine and everything. so now i ask..

WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY BASS?!

I don't know alot, but have you tried taking it to some kind of professional?
Thats just my opinion, like I said, I don't know alot.

EDIT: That was serious, no sarcasm or anything in that.

Have you tried replacing the input jack? usually if a bass is buzzing electronically and popping electronically and cutting in and out its the wiring or input jack. Take it to a shop and they can fix it for you usually under $50

Take it in for repair. People get hung up on being do-it-yourself, but you probably spent more money on those pickups than it would have for a quick solder job by a professional.
