for my P-bass. I've been thinking about replacing the pups in it for a while but not directly.

Should I just go ahead and get them?

If he's an old Indian he's probably a fan of the vintage sound and doesn't listen to music past the 70's. I'd wait for a dream from a younger indian with an endorsement deal.

From my rather limited experience SD QPs are quite a bit more than the "vintage" sound.

I've got a single coil P with a QP in it and that thing is a monster.

If you like a mid scooped sound buy these otherwise don't. The Qp's bassicly sound like a p-bass pick-up with the bass and treble bossted with very little mids. If you like it then fine, they sound pretty modern, if you want a vintage p-bass sound, don't even consider these.

I have the QP SPB-3 in my Yamaha RBX250, and they rock! Very nice oldschool sound, but with that extra sparkle with the tone wide open, and they have loads of output!

That was me. Yes, get them. How many times do I have to keep saying it?

I had a QP in my 2004 MIA P for quite some time. Very loud, modern, hi-fi sounding. Not my cup of tea but if you are looking for a powerful scooped tone, the QP is the answer.

If you've ever seen Wayne's World 2, you'd know that you should do what the Indian said.
