I have some EMG's I pulled from and 87...

Guild Pilot and wonder if they can be tested....please pardon my lack of knowledge.

I pulled them because I thought the "P" magnet under the E string had failed. I may be mistaken that it failed. I did replace the EMG's with some active Basslines...they were nice and crisp but not "hot" enough for me. That particualar Guild never competed in "hot" with my 86 Guild, Alembic, and G&L......so down the road it went.

I would be interested in possibly putting them in a 88 Spector (Tokai factory) that I just picked up.

Opinions please?

I'm pretty sure EMG uses a bar magnet in the P pickups, so it would be the same magnet under the E and A strings.

Just try them out in the new bass and see what you get.
