I just fell in love with my Warwick all over again...

After a bit of reckless experimentation, I found a setup on my fretless Warwick that I am absolutely in love with:

-Stock MEC passive pups
-Stacked volume/tone pots for both pups (cap values are .047 for neck and .033 for bridge)
-Stan Hinesley Bass Guitar Midrange control

Yes, I know the cover is a bit excessive, but I like it.

Anyone else have any interesting 'Wick mods to share?

Funny, I was going to post a similar thread this evening!

I've had a flamed maple Corvette Pro Line 5 string for a long time. I just refinished it last winter & have been playing it a lot more. I really have fallen back in love with my Warwick as well!

To be honest, I hadn't played it much since the late 90's. Styles changed & my tastes changed - so I sort of kept it on "backup" status for almost ten years.

During the refin, I really noticed how great the thing is put together. It's an older Warwick (a '93 I believe). These old Wicks seem to have better hardware & wood than the instruments I see at GC... Brass adjustable nut, brass frets, a great bridge & recessed strap locks. The fit & finish is pretty much flawless & the thing is still in perfect intonation after 10 years of neglect (the neck doesn't move)!

Anyway, I'm on the same page, mjolnir. I'll actually be taking it on the road this weekend!

Mine had been put on backup status as well, relegated to a hook on the wall of my apartment gathering dust until I decided to tinker with it...
