I was reading all these "series vs. parallel" threads and it occurred to me...why do pickups have to be in series on one instrument only...

as a totally weird experiment, why not series the pickups on a bass (passively) to the pickups on the guitarist (*gasp*)!

just a neat experiment, I think...who's game to try it?

in a sense...only I suspect there'd be a bit of interplay that isolated mixer channels can't offer...
