Unhappy I messed up...tone pot broke

I was working on making some knobs for the pots on my B.C. Rich Warlock bass tonight, and after coming in for a bit I put the original knob back on the bass in order to play it. As I was doing this, I heard a pop...the rod in the potentiometer had snapped off on the inside.

I was wondering if anyone knew A:where to get a good pot to replace it. B:How to replace it and if there is any special solder that needs to be used. I am not new to soldering, just soldering bass stuff.

Also...would it be cheaper or easier to just take it to a shop?

Thanks,
Joey

Try all parts.com.
If yow ant to solder it yourself remember how the wiring was.
Use the search function and check out the FAQ's.
And if in doubt bring it to the shop.

Fortunately B C Rich is kind enough to publish their wiring diagrams on their website here:

Do it yourself:

You can pick up the solder and soldering iron at an electronics store.

Don't replace it. Just wire the bass straight to the jack with maybe a volume pot in between.
