I'm new here so I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm looking for an old EMG HB bass pickup. They've discontinued them and the 'replacements' are a different size. I'm looking for the discontinued one that is the size of a guitar humbucker. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know.
In related news I might as well shed some light on the pickup I'm replacing... It's a DiMarzio X2N-B DP125. They're apaprently kind of rare (mine is blue). Anyway, it's a cool pickup and has a ridiculously high output, but damn does it deliver a dirty sound, I like a little grit but this is way more suited to be used a grunge album than what I'm doing now (Think Nirvana's "Blew"). I don't totally hate the pickup and I'm fine using it until I get find the EMG so it isn't all that bad. Any help will be greatly appreciated. |
