I'm new here so I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I'm looking for an old EMG HB bass pickup. They've discontinued them and the 'replacements' are a different size. I'm looking for the discontinued one that is the size of a guitar humbucker. If anyone has one or knows where I can find one please let me know.

In related news I might as well shed some light on the pickup I'm replacing... It's a DiMarzio X2N-B DP125. They're apaprently kind of rare (mine is blue). Anyway, it's a cool pickup and has a ridiculously high output, but damn does it deliver a dirty sound, I like a little grit but this is way more suited to be used a grunge album than what I'm doing now (Think Nirvana's "Blew"). I don't totally hate the pickup and I'm fine using it until I get find the EMG so it isn't all that bad. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Passive or active EMG HB? The passives are the HZ and are available secondhand on ebay, Actives HB's a la the Steinberger's can be ordered through EMG in either a P or CS (thru custom shop) config internally.

I'll take the X2NB off your hands. I may be able to get an HZ-HB too.
