ok, i own an Ibanez gsr 200, the models that only have the 2 volume and 1 tone knobs. what im wanting to do is take out the pups in it and put in where the jazz pup was put in a basslines music man style humbucker witht he 3-band tone cuircut and then where the p-pup was put in a basslines quarter pound p-pup. i just want to know if its possible to do this and have the p-pup wired to the humbucker's 3 band tone controls or if id have to get a whole other tone ciurcut for that pickup. all help is appreciated

The control is probably too small for the pre - seems it has a fair-sized pcb. If you're thinking 18v pre put two 9vs in that control bay and you'll see what you're up against. You really don't want to cram a bunch of junk in a control bay cause it will just cause you grief.

Something like an EMG BTC on 9v would work fine.

Why stop with a route that is just a different limitation. I routed a 3/4" x 4" x 7" trough beneath the strings and ended the pup route/placement issue and haven't bought another bass since. Fashion a pickgaurd to cover whatever configuration you want.
