I need pickup suggestions...

I'm open to literally anything...

I need a PJ set.

I want something with a gnarly grind that cleans up well. I use lots of distortion. I don't necessarily want super high output, but I want something with an aggressive sound.

I like to hear the the bright "clang" of the frets through the distortion.

I don't really know how else to describe it... I like an agressive, grinding sound, but I like it to clean up well as well. And warm up with the tone knob.

I've considered:

Dimarzio Split P/Ultra Jazz with series/parallel switches. I like that idea because it would great output, and some extra sound options.

Delano. The ones with the Music Man style poles. I just can't find a price. But I haven't asked anyone.

I've tried Duncan quarter pounders... but don't much care for them.

I have a Fralin P in the bass already, but with a stock J. It actually comes reasonably close to what I'm after when used with the J. And it cleans up like I want. Perhaps I just need a traditional style set like Fralins?

Input please. I do sorta suck at explaining things... sorry.
