| I need your advice about pickups!!

I'm about to refurbish an old bass that i own. The only thing i'm sure i am changing completely are the pickups, but i know almost nothing about choosing new ones. My natural rhythm and style is a mix of funk, hip-hop and reggae, so those are the types of tones i'm shooting for.
Now, here's what's slowing me down: The bass has 2 single row pickups by the neck and 1 double row pickup (i know thats not what they're called) by the bridge, 1 3-way switch, a volume knob, and a tone knob.
What can i replace the pickups with that will be easy and effective? Please help me out. |
