I'm a little anxious as they cost about $240 for the set, I've got basses that I've paid less for. I really hope these guys are worth the money. For no 60 cycle hum, it may be worth it, I just hope the tone is ok.

I think you will be very . I love mine. I agonized over the price a bit, but I think they're worth it. The absence of hum is a huge advantage, especially for recording, and the tone was a worthwhile upgrade over the stock Fenders in my 2003 Am. Ser. Jazz. They growl like crazy too, particularly through tens or twelves.

that's reassuring, I have definitely heard nothing but good about lindy fralin. I'm popping a john east marcus retro in there with them into my marcus miller. I'll post some pics of the install if anybody is interested. I'm hoping that my tone and options are about to go through the roof. At the very least it will be a fun project, even though it's a bit pricey for a college student, but I guess that's what student loans are for... aren't they???

I had a set and they sounded fantastic on my J bass with J-Retro.
