I think I have a grounding problem...

and honestly, I don't know what it means. I'm pretty sure on all basses when you boost the highs, that you get alot of buzz(not fret buzz). My bass has alot, when my fingers arent touching the strings, when i take them off the strings(even the tuning knobs or control plate the buzz is alot(and at high volume my limiter light even flashes from it)

I have a MIM deluxe active jazz....ironically woth noiseless pickups. do you think this is a grounding problem?

I have the same problem with my passive MIM j bass. All my ground wires (black ones) are connected and the wire to the bridge is connected to the tone pot good. I've read many threads on this and I'm in the same boat as you, I can't figure out what's wrong.
