I wired my EMG HZ's parallel, and liking it!

I re-wired the HZ's to parallel mode in one of my Schecters last night, and really like the results. I have a couple Schecters. One with SGD ND3's. and the other stock. It's been love/hate with the HZ's. They have certain (good) qualities, but also some not so good (for me anyway). I think overall the tone is pretty good but they always seemd to feel the low, and low-mids were a bit muddy. Well, wiring them in parallel really gave the bass a very glassy, and transparent sound. You shouldn't necessarily expect to keep your same EQ settings, it does thin out the tone a bit, but no matter how I fiddled with the EQ, it sounded natural, and transparent. It's a twenty minute project thats easily reversed, and you may just like it.

This thread is old and nobody has commented yet.

Well, I'm gonna try this with my HZ's and see if they sound close enough to a PJ set.
