| Input on G&L

I have a tribute G&L jb-2 and, when ever i turn the tone nob all the way down it cuts my volume to a really low level. So i looked in the back and there was nothing un-soldered so i figure that it must be a problem with the input jack. Now before i go buy a new one remove the old one and put it in i would like some input from some of you guys (no pun intended there)
