Who is with me on this? and how do we proceed? A possible idea for what to do.
I wonder if we can get him on mail fraud charges. It is a federal offense and a felony. If he repeatedly sends false tracking numbers knowing that he is not going to send out the packages, then he can be prosecuted. This has happened so many times that the evidence should be overwhelming. I think it is time to go after this guy.
Also leave positive or negative feedback if you have had a transaction with him. http://www.talkbass.com/forum/itrader.php?u=124866
. Since most of his transactions don't have a deal thread per se I have created one here that you can use. Feedback thread for SGD pickup orders Who am I?
For those of you who don't know who I am, I let him "borrow" the Wal pickup I had bought off of ebay OVER FIVE YEARS AGO. After repeated attempts to get it back, and broken promises this is what it is coming to. I am beyond pissed. Here is the thread from when I got the pickup, whihc I haven't seen in over FIVE YEARS Won the Wal pickup on ebay!!! What happened to me?
If he can't even order a pickup cover and return my pickup in a timely manner (it's been 2 months... early November... when he promised only a few weeks) then how can you rely on him to make a pickup. Making a pickup takes a few hours. What he owes me takes a grand total of about 15 minutes of his time and he has repeatedly failed to do it. What he needs to do to get me off his back.
Order the pickup cover - 5 minutes
Open the package -1 minutes
Put the pickup into the new cover - 2 minutes
get my new address - 1 minute
Repackage the pickup with my address - 3 minutes
Create the shipping label, attach it and put the box in the mail - 3 minutes Why we should move forward.
The man seemingly can't complete this simple task. What makes you think he can do something that takes more focus and effort, like make a pickup? My wholehearted recommendation against ordering directly from him and how to proceed if you do.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you DO NOT put in new orders, unless you are ordering from the dealer he is set up with. They will follow the law and refund incomplete orders, or as I understand will not even take an order unless they have the pickup.
IF YOU DO place a direct order with him and he is not able to fill an order within 45 days, file a paypal claim on the last day and either get your pickup during the short time afterwards, or else get your money back.
I don't see any other way to proceed.
