| J pickup reccomendation

My friend has and P/J set up, and is looking to replace the J pickup with a hum canceling one.
He plays in a high energy, rock band and he is looking for a high output growly pickup.I have Duncan STK-J2's in my Squier VM jazz, I don't think they have the output he is looking for. I was thinking about a Dimarzio Ultra jazz but I have read they are kind of mid scooped,
What would you guys suggest?
