I've never looked for "bottom" in a J bass, usually it's a strong midrange and high-end character that I look for. I always associate a "bottom" with a P bass or something else along those lines, but then again I always lean on my bridge pickup and turn up the mids and treble. Subjectivity right! |

Any comment there? | i have NJ4s in my Hwy 1 Jazz, strung with chromes. Pretty heavy bottom, but not very HOT. Sounds great, however. |

I like it alot on my fender jazz. I even have to roll off the neck pickup when playing live because it give too much low end lol.
I still like it.
