J pups- exposed poles or no?

J pups on a Jaguar-

I will be acquiring a Jaguar soon, and I've got a question about J pups with the poles exposed.

I'm used to my Warwicks, which of course are the J pups without the poles exposed. How would that affect the sound, if at all, of the jag? I may get it and not want to switch out a thing, but I'm just looking at options.. Same with the Aguilar pre. Just wanna know your 2 cents about poles/no poles on a Jaguar. Thanks!

Vintage instrument design => exposed poles
Modern design => unexposed poles.

Though EMG's can be a tad sexy on a nicely worn and funky 70's J-bass. Kinda gives it a hot rodded look.

Bart J Pups with the Aguilar OBP3 would be great.

How would Basslines compare to Barts? My experience is with EMG, MEC, and Bartolini, and I totally prefer Barts over everything else. But I'm open to trying new things, ie basslines. What do you all think of them in a Jag?

Enclosed or non enclosed makes no difference to the tone, for the same pickup, so don't let that be your reason for making a decision. The plastic or wood covers do not affect the magnetic field.
