which is the grounding??

i thought i grounded it.. but maybe i did it wrong

i get sound but it's very buzzy and then i touch the pickups and buzz... shielding? or could it be my amp?

cause when i remove the jack from the bass it gets Horrible noise and a little feedback at some areas in the air.

any household items i could use for shielding?

thanks

FWIW:

it would depend on the jack. Stick the plug in and look, the tip is the "hot" lead. On a mono jack you look and see the internal ring ran to the solder point for the ground.

On a flushmount stereo jack you need a meter and a guitar plug to know.

You could also just switch them and see if it makes any difference.
