Question Jack on Schecter pops!

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Schecter Stiletto custom-5 bass, and within the last 3 months I've noticed that when I turn my cable or if it gets bumped it will pop and crackle loudly. I At first I thought it was just my cheap cables. I bought some Monter bass cables, but the bass still pop when the cable is bumped. How can I stop this, or will I have to buy a new jack?

Simple, buy a new jack.

I went one further, I got the full EMG pickups for my C-5, and they come with a new jack. All very nice. Now I have lovely tone and no popping!
