Jack socket problem

Hi, i got a problem
i desconected the littles cables from my jack socket , now i have to weld them.
I got a question, does it matter where i weld it, 1 or 2? (look down ,srry i dk the name of that piece) or every part is different?

Hot/signal/tip is #1 in the photo, ground/sleeve is #2.

And I hope you're soldering them and not welding them.

ha ha soldering .

But the cables are differents? or i can solder either cables?

The ground wire may be black and the hot wire may be white but there's no real standardization.

Trace back one of the the wires and if it's soldered to a pot casing that's a ground.

mm ok, i didnt want to remove my pickguard cause i have a lot of stickers T.T,

i disconnected accidentally..i pulled out my cable too strong.... and i broke a piece T_T ... yes yes i know what a moron

hey mmm what happen if i connect the gound wire on the wrong side :P

well thx, ive solved my problem ... well the tech did it and w/o remove the pickguard.. a genius
