Jackson tone help needed

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Jackson 4 string with SD Basslines.
I am getting way too much bottom end to my tone. Boomy with no articulation.
I am wandering about changeing pickups to barts to see if it will
help bottom end.
It is difficult to roll out the bottom end to be able to get better mids to the mix.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks

I would say that with those pickups you should be able to get really clear and defined mids and even highs. There may be something wrong with the pots on some of your tone controls or something else causing the performance of your pickups to dip a bit. Try another amp maybe just to make sure. Try another everything (cable, etc.).
