Jaguar Pickup Switch Problem

Hiya!

I've noticed an issue with my otherwise faultless Jag. The switch for the neck pickup has seemingly decided it does no longer wish to participate, as flipping it does nothing at all. The bridge pickup and the series/parallel switches both make an audible click when flipped and the tone is immediately changed, as they should; not so with the neck one. It seems to me that the problem is that the pickup can no longer be switched off, for some reason.

Now, I suppose this is most likely to be a problem with the switch (or its wiring) rather than the pickup itself. Could someone tell me what would need to be done to fix this? Would it be relatively simple for a layman to adjust or do I need to bring it to the shop for some professional help?

I can supply more information if needed (to the best of my knowledge) and I am of course grateful for any help whatsoever. Thanks in advance!

If your best guess is a bad switch, you can find out for sure. You could desolder the switch and use a continuity tester to see if the switch is bad.

Or you could assume that the switch is bad, and order a replacement here. If you can solder, its a pretty easy fix.
