Jam Link

Does anyone around here use the JamLink interface to play with others over the Internet?

The concept seems like a good idea (minimizing latency, etc.), but I'm trying to figure out whether you can use one JamLink device for bass and vocals or whether I need to have two. Anyone have experience with this technology?

OK, then where would you like to see this question? I figured Pickups and Electronics might be a good place to ask about an electronic device used to project the signal from a bass.

Maybe the Recording Gear and Equipment forum.

This is pickups, preamps, wiring issues, etc.

Maybe we need a BOIP forum for this question.

I've not used Jamlink, sorry.

The Jamlinks only have one audio input. So you CAN put voice and instrument, but it'll require a mixer, which plugs into the Jamlink device. Depending on your mixer, you could have a whole band into one.

Big thanks for your comment - this is just what I needed! I had kind of suspected this was the case. Since I have never actually seen the device, I thought I'd check.
