jap p bass

hi guys i have a question..


whats ur view on jap pickups and pots etc.. ive got a 1992 62 ri p bass, its got fridge magnet pickups, are they any good?? , the bass souns very woody, should i rewire the bass and drop a pair of am std pups in the bass??

Don't you have a friend with an american standard P bass? How about you compare the sound of your bass to his?
