Jass pickup problem.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Fernandez Gravity with dual Jazz pickups. I have it since November and never had a problem with it.
All of a sudden the pickups seem really hot. When I'm not playing I'm getting a really loud buzz. I've changed all my cables and played thru a different amp. I also tried a different bass thru the same equipment and I've narrowed it down to the bass.

Does anyone know what this is? and how to fix it?

thanks

Well, first take a meter and set it to ohms and see if your bridge is still grounded.

IF the conection is good it should read like this.

If it's bad it will read like this.

If you don't have a meter try using a bit of wire like this. If the buzz goes away then you know it's the bridge ground.
