Jazz bass with Dual Coils

Anybody done this before, specifically with passive electronics (or a DB924 on nice subtle settings) and wired in series? I'm looking for sound samples but all I can find are the 55-01 clips.

Those sound mighty purdy, though...

Nino Valenti has made a couple of them in the past, but I'm not sure who they ended up with, or if they have any sound clips. Maybe you can give him a shout out.
