Jazz Bass Pickup Pole Pieces

Does anyone know the typical dimensions of Jazz Bass pickup pole pieces?

I'm going to start winding my own pickups and can't find this info anywhere.

Thanks!

Thanks to mojotone.com for answering this question for me.

On their website they have parts lists for pickup parts, including Jazz Bass pickups.

There are two magnet sizes to choose from, .187"x.781" and .195"x.781"

And Seymour Duncan makes a model with .25 pole pieces - quarter inch, hence the name, "Quarter-Pounder."

I thought they were quarter-pounders because they used 1/4 lb of coil wire...

I've always wondered where they got the name from.

I used to think that too, but it sounds like it would be way too much wire. That would probably be enough wire to wind ten pickups.
