Jazz bass pups

I want to use these in a 5 stringer but they only have 4 poles.

But i hear that Jazz 4and 5 string pickups are inter-changeable. Is this true or is it falser than the the devil=good?

I personally never saw a 5 string bass with a 4 string pickup.

I imagine bridge spacing and the dimensions of the pickup routing int the body would be a factor.

Why not just get a five string set of pickups??? Putting a set of four string pups with a five string bass is just counter-intuitive.

well the price was speaking to me untill i saw a set of emg select jazz pups for less(few minutes ago actually).

I try not ot let price be such a major factor. You might have had to shell out more to money make the four string pickups even work with the five string!

TB is great for finding deals. I recently scored a set of Fralins 5 string pickups for 135.00 shipped(they go for about 180.00 new).
