Jazz/Precision/Jazz Wiring

Let me preface by saying, Yes, I did a search. Can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

Here's what I Have:

Dimarzio Area J at the neck, Dimarzio precision in the middle, and Dimarzio Area J at the Bridge. One volume, one tone and three DPDT switches - one for each pick which function as on off switches.

Here's what I'd like to do:

Is it possible for me to wire the Jazz pups in either a permanent series wiring (but I think that means both J pickups are always on?), or keeping the same aforementioned wiring, add a push/pull to go from series to parallel?

Any wiring schematics would be great help if anyone has done this - If you could keep it simple (although what I think I'm asking for is complicated), I would greatly appreciate it - I'm no wiring genius.

The MM "Big Al" wiring for your setup ...


A JPJ bass,
1 Volume, 1 Tone,
3x DPDT switch (On/On with 6 lugs)

1, 2 or 3 SWITCHES DOWN =
These PUs are on, wired in parallel mode (if more than 1).

ALL switches UP: The two Js are wired in SERIES ...

There is no more GERNEAL OFF anymore.
Instead you have SERIES Js in this position.
For general off, put the volume pot to zero ...

Here is my "Wiring Compendium" with 417 pages at the moment as a 6.35 MB file:

Wait until it has loaded and save it onto your harddisk.
This wiring has the number 2.9.15 and is on page 355.

The page is in German, but you will understand that "Masse" means Ground.
A litle bit confusing might be that "u" doesn't mean "up" but "down" (because of the German word "unten").
The "o" is "up" (oben - these words have the same origin).
"Saitenerdung" is "String grounding" ...

With DiMarzio Humbuckers you needn't put grounded copper under the neck J PU. With normal SC Js it is better ...

You are lucky ask I added this wiring just a (or some) weeks ago!

A bass manufacturer I know asked my how the Big Al wiring works.
I first thought that it's a very tricky wiring - but it isn't!

I thought about the light switches at a stair. No matter if you push upstairs or downstairs, the light goes on/off. This wasn't the whole answer, but brought me to my solution. Don't know if MusicMan uses the same solution ...

I'm 99% sure I followed the schematic correctly and have no loose connections. I'm not getting any sound what-so-ever. Any thoughts or suggestions. I'm tryng to avoid taking the switches out but I think it will come to that. . . .
