Just did my first pickup swap!
I've only had them done for me before. I decided I needed both of my basses to have Duncan Quarter Pounders. Found a set on sale at a local shop, but they were backed up on doing installs. I had no idea if the guy I usually go to would be in at all over the long weekend, so I busted out the soldering iron I bought the last time I was going to try electronics, watched a few YouTube videos, and went to work. A couple of burns and a rookie mistake later, and the pups were installed. They sound great, and are dead quiet. Must have accidentally done something right!
I feel like I really accomplished something, and just had to share.
