Just got my OBP-3 TK in the mail from MF...

...and there are only 3 pots in the box. Is that all I need? I thought it would come with at least 3 for the bass/mid/treble and then also one for the mid frequency toggle switch, so I'm thinking that I was sent the wrong thing.

Now, as always, I could be wrong.

Was I sent the right thing?

Is one of the toggles push/pull? If so, you have the OBP3 TK/PP instead of the separate frequency switch.

I wouldn't know

One of the pots is bigger than the others, though. Does that help?

Just see if you can pull the shaft up and down. It sounds like the push/pull variant.

(Heh, he said "shaft".)

And you used it in conjunction with "up and down...push/pull"

Yeah it does push/pull so I got the PP instead of the TK, which I really don't mind. Kinda pisses me off that they can't get my order right, but I'm not going to get involved in a replacement dispute with them over it.

But what do you make of there being only 2 pots? The Aguilar website says that The OBP-3TK comes with separate bass/mid/treble pots and a toggle switch so I definitely didn't get that. It sounds like it's an OBP-3SK/PP which comes with a stacked bass/treble pot and a push/pull mid pot.

If it looks like this:

http://www.aguilaramp.com/Merchant2/...uct_Code=50kSt

Then it's a stacked/concentric pot.

Guess it all depends on how many holes you have in your bass.

That's it.

My bass has 5 holes right now (blend/vol/bass/mid/treble) so this isn't going to fly. I just sent the email to MF asking how I should go about an exchange.

Having too many holes isn't that big of a deal. Just leave an old pot in, but not wired to anything.

Maybe not for you. I wouldn't like it.
