Just installed my new pickups - goodbye "Toneless"!

Just finished my long awaited pickup swap in my Fender American Deluxe Jazz.

Removed: Fender Vintage Noiseless Jazz
Installed: Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders

The most challenging thing about this swap was that I had to change out the blend pot as well. Stock blend is 500K and the tech at Seymour Duncan recommended I change it for a 250K. The QP's appear to be working just fine with the Fender active preamp. Hard to really get a good tone assessment on my apartment practice amp, but it's all working and sounding good so far. The interesting part is that I removed the Noiseless pickups, but the QP's are REALLY quiet as well - I would say equal to the Noiseless! I even dialed the blend all the way to one pickup and held the bass up to my computer and there was almost zero noise! I know the ADJ comes with shielded cavities, but wow, I didn't expect that level of silence from standard single coil pickups. To contrast, the QP's I have in my MIM Standard J do buzz when they are out of balance. The ADJ doesn't at all. Don't know if that's due entirely to the shielding or maybe a combination of that and the active preamp...?

Anyway, so far I'm very happy with the change!
