so im in the music store and im talking to the guy helping me and i told him i wanted to use the emg 40hz's in my ibanez sound gear and he was like oh ok cool and i told him my bass has passive pickups with an active 2 band eq, i had mentioned that i was considering using an Aguilar 2 band to replace the stock one, he looked at me like i was retarded and asked why i didnt just use the ibanez one, is there really a difference? and which one would be better? i was under the assumption that the Aguilar was awesome, what do you guys think, help me out here

Definetly a difference, whether or not it is better is up to you. But a lot of people swear by the Aguilar sound.
