Hi !
ANy body hv ever put on SMith Soapbars on a bass with a 12 inches degree radiused fingerboard?Does it work well without any imbalance sound string to string?

They have adjustable pole pieces, so you can adjust them for the radius of the fingerboard.

I was thinking about the flattops,because the string spacing didnt match.

Do the flattops have blades? Otherwise you will still have a mismatch problem.

That's why I only use blade pole pieces on my pickups... too many different string widths.

I believed they do.Cause its what their site suggested for inexact string spacing compared to the 18mm Smith's

You should contact them and ask if they would work with a 12" radius. Some pickups are compensated on the inside for the curvature of the fingerboard.

Ive posted a question in the Smith forum,and the man himself answered that he is not sure if it will work cause his basses have much flatter fingerboard.So its not working

The biggest mistake I ever made was when I purchased my Ken Smith BMT Elite 6 G was getting the non-exposed pole piece pickups...
