Kent Armstrong Lipstick Jazz

Any thoughts on them? I never heard em but the description says that they are:

1)louder than most Jazz (which is good since im using a P/J and most of the time, my SD J pup gets buried under the P.

2)warmer and has a clearer top end(the way I understand it is that it has this scooped sound to it, which i like)

For those of you who have tried them, do they:

1) Hum like crazy?

2) Makes that "tapping noise" when you touch the pickup even with your finger? (most lipstick pickup does this)

I have no experience with them, other than hearing them in the Lakland's Jerry Scheff model - http://lakland.com/ac_scheff.htm

I really like how they sound. The clips are not directly comparable to a jazz bass because of the changed positions for the pickups, but you can get a pretty good idea how they're different.

Thanks for the clip. You are correct, the postions are different and that might have affected the tone. Plus, from what I know, the one in the lakland goes through a preamp, i dont use one.

Thanks for the clips.
WC: Did you install one on a PJ bass?
