Actually was looking at these on ebay to try to mod my jazz with,but the price seems to good to be true,i think it might be a downgrade from a regula ebmm pickup

Don't be fooled by price. Kent Armstrong is quality stuff.

Thanks for the replies. I'm interested in a solid cover (no polepieces showing) MM pickup and a matching J pickup. Not as concerned about the J: I know I can find a solid cover with no problem. But for the MM it looked like my choices were Bart, Lane Poor and Lakland. The price and/or availability are issues with any of those. Then I saw the Armstrong on eBay, so I'm asking about its quality.

Nope. I have one of his soaps and it ROCKS!

There's definite advantages to having no exposed pole pieces. namely, you won't get that "pop" from the string bouncing off the exposed pole piece.

I seriously doubt that you will find issue with any pickup that Mr. Armstrong makes.
