The Killswitch Button Thread.

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a SANWA OBSF-30 arcade button with the intent of using it as a kill button, but I am a little unclear on the wiring. The purpose when pressed is to ground out cutting the signal? I found this diagram but it I think this is for a three way. Mine is just an on off. Can someone clue me in to the wiring on these? I have seen them wired a couple different ways online. I cant find any diagrams for say, a precision bass,

Lets see them if you got them!

If you have an SPST pushbutton switch, you need to make sure it's a Normally Open switch.

Ok.. thats what I thought. I figured it was that simple, but people have some crazy wiring.

Ps. How did you whip that up so fast!

Had it in the collection already, I just had to search my Flickr page for "Killswitch."

I am assuming that it is normally open because it is the same one that Buckethead uses, i will test it when it arrives before I make any gauges in my pickguard.

Thanks as usual.... L6M
