Works just the same on a bass.

OK, by making a Jazz "more Strat-ish" are you talking only cosmetics, or are you presuming that the switch somehow changes how the electrons flow? If it's just cosmetics, get a Telecaster switch and you'll have Neck, Neck/Bridge, and Bridge. You don't need the Strat switch because you've only got two PUPs. Won't really affect the sound much. Each individual PUP will sound like it does if you have them soloed with the volume control. And the middle position will sound like it does with the both volumes dimed.

Unless you go whole-hog Strat on it by adding another pickup by the neck. But if that's what you've got in mind, I'd suggest getting a new body and having it routed with the PUPs in the same relative locations as a Srat (be sure to angle the bridge PUP), use the angled jack-plate, and just make a Stratocaster Bass...

A 'strat' style blade switch will let you do the series/parallel thing pretty easily...and if you have split or doube coils, all the better for even more S/P/coil tap options...
