Knob came off; just glue it back on?

My volume knob (just the shiny gold part that your grip, not the pole underneath) fell off. Should I just glue it back on?

My fav fix is to get some plastic wrap (cling wrap over here in oz) and use it the thicken the pole, one to three layers is usually sufficient. That way if you need to remove it again it wont be glued there. Don't forget to trim the plastic so it doesn't show. Does that make sense?

The above two posts are a good idea. Don't glue it on. They're designed to be removable so you can service the control they're attached to.
