I too did not care for the chrome knobs. Plus, they were heavy.

Below is a so-so pix of my 2005 AM STD Jazz w/ an Audere Pre w/ Sadowsky Knobs.

I also had Fender Vintage knobs on it, but needed to fabicate a spacer beneath the concentric knob due to the bass / treble stacked pot/ shaft being so tall.

Great pix and I'm not a fan of the audere knobs either though I love the preamps and just ordered a two band for mine. Did you have to use a sleeve to use the Fender knobs? Also, what did you end up fabricating for a spacer under the concentric fender? Did you have big spaces under the Sadowsky's? Thanks

Actually, the Sadowsky knobs were a perfect, fit if I remember correctly.

With Fender knobs, only the bass (lower knob) was an issue. I had a black plastic electrical 100A (or 50A) connector shell / insulator form the lab I work in. I cut off the end approximately 1/4" and filed the top and bottom smooth and used a round file on the I/D for a snug fit over the bass/treble shaft where it sits below the Fender Concentric (bass) knob. More of a modifying task instead of fabricating. It's not a perfect look, but I like the vintage knobs myself and it worked for me.

If you like, I can send you the connector and you can create a spacer yourself. Just shoot me a PM me if you would like one.

i have an emg TBC in one of my j basses and i wanted it to look as 'stock' as possible, so i made my own out of two jazz bass knobs.

here's the ring knob that i made out of a standard jazz bass knob:

and here's the top knob made out of a jazz bass's tone knob:

and here it is mounted on the plate:

from about 3 feet, it looks pretty stock to me, and it's not any taller than the other two.

I just ordered my Audere, and requested it be sent with Black knobs. I think they look better than the chrome...but I'm really digging the Sadowsky knobs.

Resurrecting an old thread but I couldn't get the Sadowsky knobs to fit on my Audere. Weird.

That orange bass is amazing.

Thanks! That is weird. The Sadowskys fit the shafts perfectly.

I would think there would be a market for traditional knobs that fit the Audere jazz pre. I know I would buy them and pay handsomely if they fit well..... (PM sent!!!)

Is there any reason the 3 up on the right wouldn't work?
